Meet Chelsea
Certified Mental Performance Coach
I am a Certified Mental Performance Coach, Professor and Certified Yoga Instructor. I began my athletic career at the age of 4 playing soccer and played all the way through adulthood. I was also a competitive swimmer through high school where my favorite coach told me I had the ugliest freestyle she's ever seen. Nonetheless, my soccer legs made me a pretty good breaststroker. I've also dipped my toes in technical dance classes and was a cheerleader/songleader. I had my first baby in 2019 and whooo, pregnancy is not easy on the brain. I found my mental skills training to be incredibly beneficial during those months and am so happy to be a mother to a little girl who actively reminds me to be in the present moment.

I specialize in mental performance coaching with traditional methods of practice such as confidence, visualization and attentional focus with a focus on present moment awareness to enhance performance. I work with individual athletes, teams, coaches, dancers, executives, government employees, and anyone else who performs day in and day out. My research is in the effects of a mindfulness training program on sport anxiety, general mindfulness and cognitive interference (this is where your thoughts get in the way of whatever you are doing). I created a program to strengthen emotional regulation and thought control while practicing present moment awareness. Turns out a side-effect of all of that is enhanced confidence and focus! I decided to become a certified yoga instructor because I have been practicing yoga for upwards of 13 years and the benefits of yoga related to performance are incredible so I wanted to be able to carry those benefits into my practice. I use all research-based methods to help you enhance your performance and make your mind FULL of tools to begin to "be where your feet are".
